📵 No Phones in the Gym Policy #

At EA Gymnastics, coaches must not use personal mobile phones anywhere in the gym during sessions.

All phones must be:

• Switched off or on silent
• Left in your locker or staff area — not in your pocket, on your body, or visible in the gym

🚫 Why This Policy Is in Place: #

• Safeguarding:
  Phones should never be out around children to protect their privacy and safety.
• Safety:
  Using your phone or being distracted can cause you to miss safety risks, potentially leading to gymnast injury.
• Professionalism:
  Coaches are expected to be fully engaged with their gymnasts and set a positive example at all times.
• Team Standards:
  Having a consistent no-phone approach keeps the environment focused and safe for everyone.

✅ Exceptions: #

• Personal phones may only be used in an emergency and must be done outside the gym space (in the staff area or off the gym floor).
• If a phone is required for a work-related task (e.g. photos or videos for parent feedback), this must be approved by the Head Coach and used in line with company media policies.

Use of phones in the gym without permission will be treated as a breach of policy and may lead to disciplinary action.

This policy is in place to protect gymnasts, support high coaching standards, and ensure we provide the safest and best possible environment for our athletes.
